Sportventurer tours are unique. Sportventurer tours are about looking after the team, making sure the games are competitive, experiencing the best of our exotic and challenging destinations, whilst remaining affordable. A donation from the cost of each touring party pays goes directly towards supporting our overseas sports development projects that are providing opportunities for youngsters from less privelidged backgrounds to enjoy sport. Whilst on tour you will have the chance to visit these projects and contribute your ideas to the development programmes we are supporting.

Football Tours West Africa

For players who recognise the flair and potential of West African football, there is a fantastic opportunity to take your team to the stadiums and dusty pitches of Ghana. Visit our charity funded academies and spot the next Tony Yeboah.

Take your team on an amazing tour of West Africa, one of the fastest growing regions on the world football stage. Play in small villages, towns, and even at the national stadium. If time permits travel north through Burkina Faso for a game against some African French flair in Ouagadougou. For the ultimate team challenge go overland all the way to the heart of West Africa to the ancient city of Timbuktu where you can play against the desert tribal playmakers on the edge of the Sahara- not your average Sunday League fixture. Times, itineraries, and the level of football are flexible to meet the needs of your team.

Why West Africa?

West Africa is not your average football tour destination but it is without doubt a region captivated by football. Due to Sportventurers work with academies, clubs, and top-level sides in Ghana, it is possible to provide touring teams the opportunity to play in some fantastic locations (The National Stadium in Accra for example) against some quality opposition.

This tour is not for the faint hearted, as Ghana is not a country loaded with luxuries. But that's also what makes the tour so appealing; the opportunity to visit villages and towns that are not used to seeing foreigners can create a huge amount of excitement and will make the tour that much more memorable.

Football in Ghana

Ghana is a fever pitch of footballing passion. High from the terraces of the Black Stars national stadium in Accra down to the bumpy village dust bowls, football is an integral and important part of Ghanaian life. Sportventurer works with teams and communities where the opportunity to play and be trained by coaches would not normally be there. Being part of a team gives youngsters a sense of achievement and belonging, as well as a lot of excitement. Sportventurer is seeking to harness the energy for football in this country and turn it into something positive both for individuals and for the larger communities.

Costs

£750 per person for two weeks is based on teams of at least 12 and include:

All local ground transfers, taxes, gratuities and Bed & Breakfast accommodation (rooms sleep 4-6).
Tour packages allow for games to be played equivalent to half the number of tour days (2 week tour would usually mean 7 games).
Game costs are included in the package prices.
Organised socials.
Prices do not include flights but we can help arrange them with you. This gives you the flexibility to choose dates that have cheaper flights.
